Our Focus Areas
Fighting for the health of the next generation by targeting children and adolescents.
Schools vastly outnumber health facilities across Africa and Asia, making them ideal platforms to reach children at lower cost. Evidence Action delivers school-based deworming to more than 180 million children annually and is expanding iron and folic acid supplementation programs.
Safe water is a human right, but 2 billion people still don’t have access to it.
Through chlorine dispensers and in-line chlorination systems, Evidence Action is providing safe drinking water to nearly 10 million people in Kenya, Malawi, and Uganda and supporting scalable solutions for India’s piped water infrastructure to reach tens of millions more.
Climate change is exacerbating health crises. Addressing this requires urgent action with proven and scalable solutions.
Evidence Action’s programs—from safe water delivery to deworming and iron supplementation—build resilience against contamination risks in vulnerable communities facing increased flooding, temperature changes, and environmental degradation.

Evidence Action is working to eliminate preventable stillbirths and infant deaths by helping governments scale up maternal syphilis screening and treatment—a simple intervention that prevents over 80% of adverse pregnancy outcomes for less than $1 per mother.
Neglected tropical diseases affect one billion people.
Evidence Action’s Deworm the World Initiative has delivered more than 2 billion treatments since 2014, partnering with governments to reach children with safe, effective deworming medication that improves their health, school attendance, and future earnings.
Providing essential micronutrients to help combat a global nutrition crisis.
Evidence Action is addressing widespread micronutrient deficiencies through school-based iron and folic acid supplementation and piloting promising new nutrition initiatives like small-quantity lipid-based nutrient supplements (SQ-LNS) and multiple micronutrient supplementation—developing scalable delivery models that can reach millions.
Women and girls are disproportionately impacted by health inequities.
From preventing maternal syphilis deaths to combating anemia in adolescent girls through iron supplementation, Evidence Action’s programs address the overlooked health crises that disproportionately affect women and girls in the world’s poorest communities.
