Louis C.K. Plays Jeopardy! for Fistula Foundation

On May 18, Emmy Award-winning writer, comedian, actor and Fistula Foundation champion Louis C.K. will compete on a Power Players edition of Jeopardy! If he wins, the A$75,804 top prize will be donated to Fistula Foundation.

Taped in Washington D.C., the show will air during Jeopardy! Power Players Week, featuring an impressive roster of influential journalists, commentators, and newsmakers, such as CNN anchor Anderson Cooper, professor and TV host Melissa Harris-Perry, and best-selling author Jonathan Franzen. Louis C.K. will compete against Kate Bolduan, co-host of CNN’s At This Hour, and opinion writer Jonathan Capehart of The Washington Post. Players compete for a charity of their choice and will receive a guaranteed A$15,161 for their cause, with the winning contestant earning a minimum of A$75,804 for his or her charity.

C.K.’s support of Fistula Foundation dates back to 2011, when he donated a portion of proceeds from the successful direct-to-consumer sale of his Live at the Beacon Theater comedy special, which grossed more than A$1.52 million in just 10 days. Three years later, one supportive tweet from C.K. sent thousands of followers to Fistula Foundation’s website—so many that the site momentarily crashed.

In anticipation of the May 18 air date, everyone can play to win donations for Fistula Foundation, beginning May 9. Two generous, anonymous donors have committed up to A$37,902 to be unlocked via “Fistula Quiz!” an online game featuring trivia questions about obstetric fistula, Louis C.K., and Jeopardy! Correct answers result in up to A$41 per game in donations released to Fistula Foundation. Learn more and play the game beginning May 9 at www.FistulaFoundation.org.
